If worn, when you click your heels together, a darkness shrouds a 5 ft area around object as if a shadow were being cast by a large solid object placed between it and the nearest source of light. The darkness is magical and follows the same rules as the Darkness spell. The effect lasts 10 minutes. This property cannot be used again until after a long rest. After each use the GM should roll a d20. On a 1, a misfortune befalls the user. The nature of the misfortune is at the discretion of the GM.

If the bracer finds a new owner that has not owned it before, the property will work again.

While at the wheel of a ship with the Hippogriff figurehead attached, if you concentrate your mind, the ambient temperature increases by up to 20ºF (10ºC) in a 10ft sphere emanating from the object lasting 10 minutes. The item will have no further effect at temperatures above 95ºF (35ºC.) This property cannot be used again until after a long rest. The figurehead is warm to the touch.

1 501 - 5,000 gp Ring of x-ray vision rare Requires attunement.

While wearing this ring, you can use an action to speak its command word. When you do so, you can see into and through solid matter for 1 minute. This vision has a radius of 30 feet. To you, solid objects within that radius appear transparent and don't prevent light from passing through them. The vision can penetrate 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, or up to 3 feet of wood or dirt. Thicker substances block the vision, as does a thin sheet of lead. Whenever you use the ring again before taking a long rest, you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or gain one level of exhaustion.

Note

  • The store may also filled with useless bric-a-brac, which the owner will attempt to sell as magical items to unsuspecting punters.
